One of the things I love about Fabulous‘ post series “Sachen, die die Welt nicht braucht” is the knowledge that, phew! I’m not the only one to find some American products strange.
Back in October, when my mom came to visit, we found in a supermarket a product which made us laugh and made me immediately think “Fabulous would totally appreciate this!” Mom took a photo and then with the craziness of life, we forgot to download it to my computer. I finally remembered to ask her for it, though, and here it is for your viewing pleasure.

It's a Banana Slicer!
Please! Can’t we just use a knife* or eat the whole thing like monkeys do and just bite after peeling?
* Later we realized this is a safer thing for kids who are doing it themselves, but still. It’s pretty funny, don’t you think?

It drove past me on IH-495 a couple of days ago.
I was driving and saw on the lane to my right a VW Jetta wagon with what looked -from afar- children who were waving their arms to the cars behind them. As I drove closer, I noticed the “arms” were tails, of about 3 dogs who were in the back of the wagon, looking forward. The tails were happily wagging. As I drove past them, I saw -at least- one dog looking out the left back window and one sitting on the front seat. Driving, a lady, happy as can be, same as the dogs.
All I could think was: “That will be me when I’m older. The old lady with the dogs, and of course, a VW car”
It wasn’t eery. It kinda made me happy.
What do you guys think?
